What is the SurfReel Competition?

As the premier online surfing video competition, SurfReel.com is exposing the best untapped talent to the surf industry and community. Unlike other surfing competitions, our users vote to decide the winners of each month's competition. Users submit Reels (videos) to each month’s competition. SurfReel users vote for the best surfer in each of four demographic categories:

  • Men (17+)
  • Women (17+)
  • Groms (boys 13-16)
  • Gromlets (girls 13-16).

Monthly category winners will have their winning Reel (video) displayed on SurfReel's homepage for the following month.

How Do I Compete?

After you register and become a SurfReel.com member, upload and submit a Reel (any standard video file format under 75MB) for the current month's competition. Be creative with your music and editing, and most importantly show us your surfing skills. Each month our users will vote 'STOKED' on reels they like to determine the monthly winners. The videos you submit to a competition must be of you surfing, or you must have the consent of all surfers and producers of the video you upload for you to be eligible to win the monthly competition.

How Do I Win?

The monthly winner from each demographic category will have their video shown on the home page for the duration of the following month's competition. This will give YOU great exposure to sponsors and the global surfing community!
